This is a one of a kind handmade sculpture featuring a creature I call the “Oilslick” wrapped around and guarding a portal to its realm. The piece was created from the center out with a translucent resin disk featuring heat sensitive color changing edging and a glow in the dark surprise swirl. Around it I sculpted the creature using a mixture of polymer and apoxie clays with a metal armature for support. It was then primed and painted using iridescent paint, matte back for the stripes, and a hint of the heat activated color changing paint incorporated into the stripes as well. This artwork comes with a signed Artist Certificate of Authenticity.
Measures 13” x 11” x 2.25” with a 10” chain hanger.
